Event Organisers Space by Hong Kong Trade Development Council

Centrestage 2018 Event Organisers Space by Hong Kong Trade Development Council Tomorrow Lab is an event space design created for Centrestage, a fashion event held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for four days. The design covers three communal areas: the entry concourse, a central display and a catwalk arena inside the exhibition hall. A futuristic industrial laboratory theme is applied throughout. Moving robotic arms and conveyor belt showcases present the fashion brands. The structures were prefabricated off site and assembled in three days. Metal hollow sections were recycled after the event and the carpets were biodegradable.

Introductory Passageway by Hong Kong Trade Development Council

Capsules of Wonder Introductory Passageway by Hong Kong Trade Development Council Capsules of Wonder is an introductory passageway designed for a watch fair hall in Hong Kong. The 1800 square meter space welcomes visitors before they explore 140 international watch brands. A hexagonal gateway with an LED screen leads into a passageway 45 meters long and 6 meters high. An open chamber holds a stage for product parades, seminars and receptions. Four hexagonal portals open into themed zones named Arctic Retreat, Aqua Pod, Botanic Lab and Time Observatory. The walls were built with reusable aluminium systems covered with stretched vinyl prints.

Fashion Launderette Installation Space by Hong Kong Trade Development Council Fashion Launderette is a set of themed installation spaces created for a fashion trade fair in Hong Kong. The design covers three areas: a welcome installation in the main foyer, an entrance treatment for the exhibition hall and a 350 square metre multifunctional space for fashion shows, seminars and receptions. The theme is inspired by 1980s laundromat interiors. Decorative walls are built with reusable aluminium systems clad in vinyl graphics, and printed plywood forms the washing machine facades. The colours follow the seasonal fashion trend forecast.

Modern Odyssey Installation Spaces by Hong Kong Trade Development Council Modern Odyssey is a set of exhibition installations designed for the foyer and hall entrances of a jewellery trade show in Hong Kong. The theme is drawn from ancient Greek mythology, and each installation refers to one deity, such as Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Apollo, Artemis or Athena. Allegorical clues are used instead of direct depictions. Walls and columns are built from lightweight metal frames clad with translucent graphic mesh and lit from behind. Bespoke props, lighting and sound complete each space. The lightweight system allows assembly in three days.
