Pregnancy Test by MrSmith Studio

Spoon Pregnancy Test by MrSmith Studio Spoon is a single use pregnancy test designed for home use. The form takes inspiration from a spoon, with small soft shapes and a wider surface for the handle area. All edges are rounded to give a friendly look, as the test is used in a private and emotional moment. The grip area is tilted and enlarged for better ergonomics and intuitive use. Spoon measures 130 x 25 x 10 millimeters and weighs 14 grams. The body is made of injected bioplastic to reduce the carbon footprint, and the thickness of each component is calibrated to save material.

Table Lamp by MrSmith Studio

Dream Table Lamp by MrSmith Studio Dream is a table lamp designed to give soft ambient light. The base is shaped like a pillow and is made of concrete, while the diffuser is a blown glass globe made by hand in Venice. Concrete is often seen as hard, cold and heavy, so the form was modeled to look soft, light and warm. An innovative molding method and a very fine grained concrete give the surface a uniform texture with no visible bubbles. The lamp measures 24 by 24 by 14 centimeters and uses a dimmable G9 bulb, so the warm light can be adjusted.

Lamp by MrSmith Studio

Flatiron Lamp by MrSmith Studio Achille Castiglioni was convinced that the designer should delete, delete, delete and at the end find the core aspect of the design. Bruno Munari was used to say that to complicate things is easy, while to simplify things is very hard. Flatiron comes from the crasis of this two references. A light source encased by a body made by a simple metal sheet with just one fold. The minimum amount of elements for a product with great prominence, a collection of lamps characterized by a design as essential as effective.
